Situated in Colwell village in the heart of Hadrian's Wall Country, this mid-terraced cottage offers spacious accommodation for two country loving people, with walking, birdwatching, fishing and many other pursuits in the locality.
The cottage is reputed to date from the 18th century and the interior is full of character, with exposed beams and an open fireplace housing a good wood burning stove.
The cottage has an entrance hall and a large lounge-diner with a woodburning stove. The modern, fully equipped kitchen leads into a small, but pleasant and bright breakfast room where you can enjoy the unspoiled view across Northumbrian countryside. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment and a toilet.
On the first floor is the large double bedroom with ensuite toilet and washbasin.
Outside there is a well kept garden with patio, barbeque and garden furniture. The property has off-road parking and secure bicycle storage
The log burning stove gives the main room a cosy atmosphere, making it a pleasurable place to dine or relax while the oil fired central heating keeps the whole house snug.
Fuel (oil central heating, logs and electricity), bed linen (duvet), towels and tea towels are included in the rent.
Other facilities include: colour TV, video, radio with CD, teas-maid, washing machine, iron and ironing board, microwave oven, and automatic washing machine.
Everything has been done to try to ensure a comfortable and relaxed stay in a cottage that retains its original charm.
